MEET CLAUDIA

CR_edited.jpg

Since beginning her career in 2016, Claudia has built extensive experience supporting people across a range of settings, including education, disability, and mental health. Starting as an integration aide before moving into support work, she developed a deep understanding of the challenges individuals face navigating complex systems and accessing the right supports. This passion for advocacy and meaningful change led her into support coordination and psychosocial recovery coaching, where she has spent the past several years supporting people with diverse and complex needs.

As director of CR Recovery & Wellness, Claudia brings a compassionate, down-to-earth, and deeply person-centred approach to her work. She holds a Certificate IV in Community Services, is qualified in Mental Health First Aid, and is currently studying a Diploma of Counselling, which continues to strengthen her knowledge and therapeutic approach within her role. Trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practice sits at the forefront of her service delivery, with a strong focus on creating safe, empowering, and collaborative supports for every individual she works alongside.

Claudia is highly experienced in navigating NDIS processes, utilising budgets effectively, and supporting participants to build the confidence and capacity to engage with services in a meaningful way. She is passionate about helping people not only access supports, but find providers they genuinely feel safe, comfortable, and connected with. Drawing from her background as an integration aide, Claudia places a strong emphasis on ensuring participants fully understand how the NDIS works, what their plan means, and how they can use it to achieve their goals. She understands that everyone learns and communicates differently, and tailors her approach to suit each individual’s needs, communication style, and level of understanding.

Claudia’s lived experience with mental health gives her a unique level of empathy, insight, and authenticity in the way she supports others. She is a passionate advocate for individuals navigating the public mental health system and understands firsthand how overwhelming and isolating those experiences can be. Her approach is transparent, honest, and upfront, while always remaining gentle, supportive, and non-judgemental. Her ability to genuinely connect with people allows her to provide strong advocacy, emotional support, and guidance while empowering clients to regain confidence and autonomy in their lives.

Inclusivity, safety, and respect are at the heart of Claudia’s practice. She is a strong ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and has extensive experience supporting queer and transgender individuals in a way that is affirming, compassionate, and free from judgement. Claudia is passionate about creating a safe space where every person feels heard, valued, and supported exactly as they are.
